Who we are
This website is run by Oleksandr Bezborodov, sole proprietor (FOP), registered in Ukraine, trading as wedoingood (the controller). Contact: office@wedoingood.com. See also the Legal notice.
What this website collects
This website has no shop, no user accounts, no newsletter and no contact form. We do not add any tracking of our own.
Hosting, statistics and cookies
This site runs on WordPress.com (Automattic Inc., USA, and its affiliates), which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you view to deliver and secure the site, to measure its speed and to produce visitor statistics (Jetpack Stats). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, fast website and in basic visitor statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The site shows no ads, and we set no cookies of our own. WordPress.com may set its own cookies; see the Automattic Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
When you email us
We use your name, email address and message to reply and to give support (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our interest in answering enquiries and security reports). Emails to office@wedoingood.com are stored with Professional Email from WordPress.com, provided by Titan (Titan Solution Ltd SEZC, Cayman Islands). Emails sent to our earlier address, wedoingoodplugins@gmail.com, are stored in Gmail (Google). We delete them 24 months after the conversation ends, unless we need them for legal claims. Emailing us is optional, but we cannot reply without your address.
Privacy in our plugins
Our plugins run inside your own WordPress site. The data they work with stays in your site’s database, and you, as the store owner, decide what happens to it. We never receive it. Before we release a plugin, we add its section here.
Status Desk and Status Desk Pro
- No external requests, no tracking or analytics, no cookies. Nothing is sent to wedoingood or to any third party.
- Status Desk stores its settings (your statuses, colors, icons and options) as WordPress options, and which admin notices each user has dismissed (earlier versions also kept a counter for one tip in the plugin; it is no longer used). On each order it notes when each status email was sent, so that the customer gets it only once.
- Status emails to customers are regular WooCommerce emails, sent by your site’s own mail system to the email address on the order.
- Status Desk Pro adds a status history to each order: the previous and the new status, the time, and the ID of the user who made the change or, for changes read from order notes, the name shown on that note. It is saved with the order and deleted with it. Pro also reads past status changes from the order notes WooCommerce already keeps.
- Pro saves the average time orders spend in each status as totals without personal data, and the texts you write for customers and staff.
- For alerts about orders that wait too long, Pro saves on each order its current status with the time it got it, and the same value when someone marks the order as checked or when it was included in an alert email. Status changes waiting for the daily email are kept on the order until that email is sent. These values contain no personal data.
- Team emails, including the daily order update, send order details (such as order number, customer name and total) to the recipients you choose, through your site’s own mail system.
- Requests from your customers about their data (access, erasure) are handled in your store with the WordPress and WooCommerce personal data tools. If you delete the plugins, their data stays unless you enable “Delete all Status Desk data when the plugin is deleted” or “Delete Status Desk Pro data when Pro is deleted” in Settings. Orders are never deleted.
Buying and support
Purchases on WooCommerce.com are processed by WooCommerce (Automattic) under its own privacy policy. When you ask for support there, we see the details you share in your request. Support forums on WordPress.org are covered by the WordPress.org privacy policy.
Transfers outside the EU
Automattic, Titan and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the USA or the Cayman Islands. For Automattic and Google, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Titan states that it uses binding agreements with appropriate safeguards when it transfers EU residents’ data to other providers.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict its processing, or to receive it in a portable format. You may object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Email us at office@wedoingood.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example in the EU country where you live; in Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde. We use no automated decision-making.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date above.
